Almost a decade ago, a handful of Independent Video
Retailers gathered in New England for the first time and
decided to form what was then called the New England Buying
Group. Their purpose was simple and fourfold...
1) To lower the costs of products and services by
buying in quantity,
2) To use their
collective purchases to negotiate advertising opportunities
from studios,
3) To communicate
with each other on a regular basis in order to learn from
each other's
success and experiences, and
4) Create and
develop benefits that would maximize members' ability to
compete more
effectively.
Now, almost 10 years later, the
NEBG has grown from that regional group to a national
presence (recently changing its name to the National
Entertainment Buying Group to reflect that change), expanded
its focus and reach, and has formed new alliances. But
the overall mission is still the same -- to communicate with
IVRs, to respond to their needs, and to provide realistic
products and services designed to increase their knowledge,
opportunities, and prosperity. Thank you for visiting
our site and let us know how we may be of service.
